I want to take this opportunity to share with you some exciting news regarding the direction that WPSM is headed. When the Lord spoke to my dad 30 years ago, and he in obedience, cast the vision of Christian radio across the Emerald Coast. Standing in faith, he would not be deterred, even in the face of adversity or naysayers. He simply believed God. When WPSM signed on the air for the first time with Phil Driscoll’s rendition of “I Exalt Thee”, it was one of the greatest accomplishments of his ministry. I don’t know that he ever fully understood the impact that WPSM would have on this area. Countless thousands have been blessed by this ministry and we believe the latter will be even greater. We believe that this is a season of change, and we are very excited at the prospect of moving this ministry forward into the next dimension of Christian radio in which many more souls will be brought into the kingdom by hearing the “good news” being broadcast over the airwaves.
We are in the process of moving the WPSM studios to a better suited location, at the Plaza on highway 98 in Destin. The new space will provide easier access for our loyal listeners, as well as the opportunity to network with churches and businesses whom we believe would share in our vision by partnering with us financially and spiritually.
This move will require several costly expenses and upgrades. We are again, simply believing, that our faithful listeners and business partners will wholeheartedly support us financially in covering the costs of these expenses. The Lord has already provided funds for the first month’s lease and a one month deposit. Also, a new HD metro line from Cox Communications had to be run to our transmitter site on Hollywood Boulevard in FWB, and also to our new studios in Destin. The cost of this was $5400.00.
As we enter our 30th year of ministry at the Positive Choice, please prayerfully consider if the Lord would have you partner with us once again to get WPSM moving forward in its mission. You can call the station and donate through a credit card, or you can donate online. May God Richly Bless you.
